Emma McBride, Play Therapist
After completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy at the University of Surrey, Roehampton, I worked in a variety of settings, including a Bereavement Centre in north-east London and at Shooting Star Children's Hospice. I also helped to set up Play Therapy services in several London primary schools.
I relocated to East Hampshire in 2008 and established an independent therapeutic service for children, young people and their families. Alongside taking private referrals, I worked in a vibrant Surrey team of child therapists. In 2022, my family and I moved to Sligo to be closer to the mountains and the sea.
I am a full member of IPTA and DDPI and attend regular clinical supervision as well as trainings in order to further my professional development and stay up to date with current research and clinical practice.
I am fully Garda vetted and I work under the Children’s First Guidelines.
